Email this article Mental Health Center: The space of clinical psychological intervention between psychiatry and psychotherapeutic techniques
Abstract
Two areas of intervention take shape in the Mental Health Center:
- illness the area of common emotional disorders;
- the area of mental and complex cases.
Two clinical cases are discussed, for each of the two corresponding areas, in order to analyze the emerging clinical and organizational problems and the different perspectives of intervention. The analysis of the clinical cases here proposed tries to point out that, unlike psychiatry and psychotherapy organized on dual settings, clinical psychology - as reference discipline for intervention in the dynamics between individual/coexistence environment/Service - can be more effective answer to the new challenges deriving from the ongoing transformations.
