Impact of post-stroke depression on rehabilitation, functional recovery and quality of life.
Abstract
We present and discuss the results of a study on 40 patients with an outcome of ischemic stroke stabilized and the possible complications in the form of mental disorder related. The patients were examined by Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression, Modified Barthel Index and SF-36 for the assessment of quality of life. It is encouraged a global and multidisciplinary taking charge post-stroke patient that integrates neurological, psychiatric, psychological and physiatric competences.
